Just FIY, one student from my school who studied finmath at UChicago 1 or 2 years ago landed a quant job in a BB firm. I think it's kinda really hard for MFE(Princeton excluded) students to find a IBD job(rather than quant/trading) in a BB bank directly these days, esp. for those programs not under B-school.

学校名气不代表一切，那样的话去Harvard/Yale/Columbia读一个Stat或者Upenn的Fels Institute啥的都能去投行了。。。MPP/MPA在投行的就业没那么理想。。。HKS除外。。。-- by 会员 Karmalot (2012/3/9 10:46:40)

Harvard AM Stat是两年的项目而且非常selective，真的一心想做financial service我不觉得会输给任何一个MFE program吧。。

Harvard肯定比Columbia好一些，但是美国的stat master貌似金融业就业普遍不行，我听说在那上学的师姐也是找不到金融业的工作（一部分原因也是整体就业不好）；不输给任何一个MFE绝对不可能，不输tier 2及之后的没问题我觉得
