The answer is (C). However, I prefer (A) here.

In my understanding, "like" means something similar but not the same. Since New York's airport is one of the nation’s 50 busiest airports, we cannot say that New York's airport is LIKE all the nations's 50 businest airport. We can say that Student A is LIKE student B, because A is not B. But if we know that A is in class 1, we cannot say that student A is like students in class 1. Thus, (C) is not correct.

Answer (A) avoid this issue, so it can be the right answer.

这里的as是好像的意思吧，没有提到New York's airport is one of the nation's 50 busiest airports啊。只有在C里，比较对象是对等的，修饰对象也很明确的

Since New York's airport is one of the nation’s 50 busiest airports, we cannot say that New York's airport is LIKE all the nations's 50 businest airport. We can say that Student A is LIKE student B, because A is not B. But if we know that A is in class 1, we cannot say that student A is like students in class 1. Thus, (C) is not correct.

同意你的想法，偶也觉得C有这个问题。

其实A同样存在这个问题，但是改错是选最好的选项，所以比较而言还是C对。

A有一个的致命错误：时态问题，As从句中的are与主句中的were不匹配，且从逻辑上分析应该用were，因为这些机场都是以前造的。

还有一个问题，单独一个as位于句首不用来表示比较 －－从stoneren版主的回帖中学到的，偶比较了大全中的所有试题，无一例外，所以可以用来作为判断依据。

一般要表示比较的话，句首用Just as或Like。

此题中as不用比较的意思
