Ziye姐辛苦啦，不抛难题给你做，不用做选择题，我申请的是SCM, 就是想听听你对Case 和WPI 这两所学校的看法，还有位置啊什么的，然后。。。稍稍透露下你的偏好呗

当然，还有一句话：足够强的龙，啥都不怕，比如哈佛，呵呵。

Ziye姐，我觉得你这句话说得太有道理了，确实很经典！我的两所学校是UMD和WUSTL，专业都是SCM，我不是让Ziye姐帮我二选一，只是想知道你的看法。从专业上来看，应该说两个学校相差无几，可能UMD的这个专业会更好一些，从学校和位置来讲，虽然WUSTL的综排高，真心高，但可能辐射的范围也有限，不过在当地的名气我想那是没得说的，应该是绝对的王者吧，不过那地方...经济不太好，就业情况不太乐观。而UMD位置好，好歹也是首都嘛，而且在当地的影响力不容置疑！但说实话，这两所学校在综合实力和校友资源上差别还是很大的，我感觉WUSTL在这方面确实强很多，所以...不知道怎么比较啊！！Ziye姐你觉得呢？我的分析思路对不对？另外你觉得还有啥需要考虑的吗？

从务虚方面说，我个人会更倾向UMD一些，因为地理位置带来的眼界和思维方式的转变都会让你更受益。从务实方面说，SCM这个专业吧，你在DC附近，貌似比较有难度。那里给我感觉，不太有很多制造业公司，谁了解情况的，不妨分析一下当地的企业构成啊。这个真是看你打算要什么了。你喜欢什么样的城市风格呢？

在城市方面，我个人真没有太多的偏好，大城市生活丰富很好，小城市甚至小乡村我也是可以接受，而且觉得安静读书的日子也不错。只是一方面DC确实是大城市，诚如你所说，城市的环境是会改变你很多想法的，而且思维方式也会随之改变，这一点我有深刻体会。我是重庆人，但是大学考到了广州，我的校区又是在深圳，读了四年下来，真觉得自己和在内地上学的同学思想上有很大差距！但是wustl也确实是名校啊，就像你说的足够强的龙啥都不怕，关键就是wustl是不是足够强，强到如果在当地不能就业，跑到东海岸找工作也有优势，这个就很难说了！

Let me give you some perspective. I am currently working in a deep south state.  I am also eye on SCM master degree. For my personal feeling, I prefer WUSTL. 1. WUSTL ranking is unamiously better than UMD in most perspectives. 2. SCM is a relative new concentration derive from Logistics. Right now, due to the globalization of economy. Many U.S bueiness decide to choose Mexico or South as their manufacturing site location. Ex, all Japanese auto maker choose Southern state as their plant site. Due to the effiencey and cost reason, many logisitics industry also choose mid-west and south as their plant site. TNT choose Cincinnati (Kentucky boarder), FedEx (Memphis), and DHL (Kentucky) as their operating hub.  3. WUSTL has a great reputation in Mid-west and South. So, i recommend you CHOOSE wustl. You will get a decent job in the south.

If you like BIG CITY and New England, you may not choose SCM.

If you study Political Science or Law, GWU is the best choice. GWU is not strong in business area.

我刚才看到这个难题了，我想躲过去，没想到你又发了一遍。哎。

我自己要选择的话，综合所有因素考虑，可能是UIUC>IUB=WM。虽然我自己很喜欢WM，但这年头，一定要考虑回国知名度啊。国内很多HR，连ND都不明白，别指望他们了解很多不错的项目了。：（

William and Mary have a great Alumni network, UIUC or IUB cannot compare this point to WM. WM is a traditonally military school. Any military school is a great choice for people if you want to become a member of "upper class".

真心求教ziye姐，你觉得特拉华州就业怎么样？当初上网查的时候知道该州是个免税州，因此成为了许多大公司的注册地。既然注册的公司多，是不是意味着找到实习和工作的机会在其他条件不变的情况下就会多一些？

没去过美国，对那里的情况真心不太知道，而且觉得不同的州真的很不一样，因此ziye姐的解惑就变得更加难能可贵~~

Delaware is a "corporate tax duty-free" state, there are a lot of corporations ( a lot of Fortune 500 giants)  maintain their registration in Delaware. HOWEVER, it is does not mean they set their headquarter in Delaware, they just keep their registration in Delaware. In another way, they just pay registration fee and licence fee to Delaware  (We can open a business in U.K virgin island, but my headquarter in China or etc). So, the job market is no difference, but you can easy access to Philly, NYC, DC, Baltimore, Richmond, Boston.

If you seeking a degree u of delaware, i think it is a fine school, but you can be alumni of Joe Biden.  If you have more time, you can find that their new admission strategy is from Delaware's new president (former dean of Wharton).  I recommend you consider other school, not delaware. Rugters or SUNY system, Temple, are better substitute for Delaware.
