Duke MMS 2013 一名被录取印度学生背景，仅供后面的同学参考

在linkedin上刚加上的这位同学，印度女生，印度本科，GRE1500+,T115+,Deloitte Consulting 1年半工作经验。

虽然杜克官网上学生平均的GMAT和GRE都很低，但感觉对国际学生来说还是越高越好。

而且就这么看的话，虽然总的来说录取的都是没有工作经验的同学，但是有一些工作经验的同学也是可以申请的，不要觉得这个项目就是给本科生的。

没有想吓后面申请同学的意思，不过确实今年各种项目的竞争都很激烈，除了成绩要好之外，一定要找到自己的闪光点，才能在这么众多的申请者中脱颖而出。

不过印度学生跟咱们差不多，都是学习型，成绩好是肯定的，所以还要在别的地方突出自己。

Honestly Duke MMS should be her safety choice if she had a normal application strategy.
I guess she probably graduated from a decent Indian college given she works at D Consulting. Plus her other credentials I see no reason why she won't get into an esteemed MBA program. Many MBA's also accept GRE today.
Not saying Duke MMS is bad but Top 20 MBA is definitely the way she should go.

you didn't understand my point.

if the indian girl wanted MBA, there is no reason she would apply for MMS, a so called light version of MBA but totally a different thing. it just doesnt make sense.

FYI, I think being a non-MBA doesn't make it not qualified as a back-up for MBA application, if you know what I mean.
She can definitely stand out from this one-year program with her experience, so she is way ahead her competitors when hunting for a job. That being said, she has the priority access to all the resources of this program. Even if later there turns out to be too little resource making her unable to find a nice job in US, she at least buy a school's name. A nice job offer in India won't be any hard for her and you know what, she could even possibly reserve her promotion in D consulting. Just come to US for a one year experience and a school name, then go back. So it dominates non-top MBA programs for her. that's all.


Thus though it's definitely not her best choice, but still acceptable, noticing there is still considerable potential return on getting a job in US. Anyway, we never know what others do something truly for.
After all, I still believe she'll get somewhere in top20 MBA, if not too unlucky.

anyway, "仅供后面的同学参考"doesn't make any sense. An abnormal sample on the far right of a distribution shouldn't draw much attention at all. No say we don't know if this sample will eventually join the program or not.

As your benchmark, 后面的同学 better still consider more on Median and entry-level attendants' profiles.
