Doyou agree or disagree with the following statement? Television has helped improve standards of education. Use specificreasons and details to support your answer.

It isundeniable that new technology helps improve standards of education.Television, being one of many technology innovated product, certainly takes itspart in education improvement.

First andmost obviously, television could help with the process of understanding.Admittedly, in most cases, the best way to understand something is to watch it.In this way, television could provide visual materials which could depictobjects vividly. This would be, without question, easy for people to understandwhat they see. For example, to introduce animals’ habits, teacher could simplyask students to watch a documentary on that certain animal. The televisioncould provide not only images but also audio materials for students to listen. Therefore they are watching while listening. That’s an easy strategy for themto develop interest and understand.

Anotherway that television could help improve education is that, people could getample information via watching television. Television programs are great innumbers and various in aspects. One could gather many ideas and perspectivesout of watching TV. We all have the feeling that other people’s thinking mightinspire us on certain issues, in the way that they differ from ours. WatchingTV debating programs is one of the most convenientways to for us to listen to other people’s idea. In this case it provides usinformation that could help studying.

Furthermore, television could provide us information that we couldn’t get by ourselvesduring the process of education. Some experiments in science class, could becarried out only under certain circumstances, or with certain equipment, that schools or teachers couldn’t provide. For example, one experiment of demonstrating air pressure is to let 8 horses topull up an empty ball with no air in it. Not every teacher could make sure thathe could provide his students to actually see this from happening. However theycould play a recorded video of the experiment on television to his students. That would work just the same. In this way, television help to show many thatotherwise would be difficult to depict to students.

In a word, televisionhas helped improve education quality in many ways. It is almost impossible toteach without at in present time.

Therehave been many arguments in recent years whether nuclear energy should be usedto generate electricity. Do you think nuclear energy should or should not beused for this purpose in your country. Which side do you agree with? Usespecific reasons and examples to support your answer.

Therehave been debates on nuclear energy since the day it was introduced to theworld. With respects to all of its possible negative effects, I still think itshould be used in my country.

Peopleshould have certain concerns of nuclear energy. After all, it is more dangerousthan any other power source on our planet. Nuclear accidents could lead tosevere damages to the region nearby, and for a considerably long time. Therecent earthquake has made nuclear power plants of Japan to leak. It affectednot only Japan but all the way to China and the US.

But,should we abandon nuclear energy just for these safety reasons? I think theanswer is no. Though nuclear power plants could be dangerous, they also couldfunction normally and under control. In that case, its benefits to humansociety would outweigh those merely happened accidents.

I am profor nuclear energy mostly because it’s clean. To generate the same amount ofpower, adapting nuclear way takes up the least sources. In comparison, buildingdams would do unthinkably damage to the eco-system, while fire power requires ahuge amount of coal, which is dying out from our planet. To produce nuclearenergy is without question more environmental friendly. It is even more sustainable than other methods.

Anotherreason I am for nuclear energy is because it is cheap. There are plenty ofnuclear sources such as H and He on our planet, enough to make ample energy forus to use several thousand years. And because the source is great in number, they are cheap in return. However, other sources of generating energy could beeither rare or expensive. Like I mentioned above, we are running out of coaland oil. Unfortunately we’re also not yet master of generating energy out ofwind or solar power (They’re not efficient as well). So the choices seem to bevery limited, and nuclear power is certainly one of the best.

Besides, making nuclear power takes the least of land, and requires less working stuff. It’s efficient, as well as safe, in most conditions. We have to admit that thechance that we have a nuclear power plant breaking down is far less thanaccidents happening in other energy plants.

Inconclusion, nuclear energy could endanger our lives, however the chance of itshappening is extremely rare. As long as it’s functioning normally, it iscertainly one of our best choices of power source.
