[argument] 关于新argument里的instructions求助大神

众所周知,新GRE中的argument部分有8种instructions,有让你写出assumption的,有evidence的,有question的,对于这些instructions的要求,我们应该如何对待?是不是在每个正文段的主题句中必须明确写出assumption是……,evidence是……,question是……?能不能像以前老G一样,只是用抽象的语言指出其逻辑错误即可。下面举个例子。新G的A63,要求写assumption
我找了两个逻辑错误
1.The arguer does not differentiate between the severity of     injuries.
2.Thearguer ignores the positive effects of athletic competition这两句话能不能直接作为两个正文段的主题句啊?那其中蕴含的假设是什么呢?可不可以不把假设写出来?

不是让你列举,而是给你思路,你需要involve这些进你的文章。
assumption就是你要证明的你的观点。

1.其实你仔细想想,这几类intr都是可以通过语言同义变换的。

2.这个题目我看了一下,直接帮你破了吧。
 比如作者从A推到B stated or unstated假设了一个C:A->C->B

原题中有A1,A2,A3,B1,B2,B3,C1,C2,C3

1). Based on the fact that the number of the injuries under the age of nine were over 40,000 throughout the country, the speaker assumes that the percentage of the injuries is considerable and the analyzis of the national survey also applies to Parkville.  . It is possible that........          . And once the assumption proves unwarranted, the speaker cannot say.(A1->B1)................            

2) Furthermore, there is also an unstated assumption made by the speak that the youth-league soccer player in recent study is also under the age of nine. .....................If the assumption proves false, the speaker cannot say(A2->B2)

3) Last, the speaker also assumes that taking away the time that could be used to academic activities for long sports practice will be a disadvantage. .................
If the assumption turns out to be unfounded, the speaker cannot conclude (A3->B3)



注意原题要求有explain 和 implication 少一种都会扣分的。

1.其实你仔细想想,这几类intr都是可以通过语言同义变换的。

嗯,我觉得你这里写的三个假设都可以改写成evidence\question。我可不可以这样理解:只要找到了逻辑错误,把逻辑错误用合适的语言写成assumption\question\evidence就足以应付除alternative explanation之外的所有instructions。至于alternative explanation,就要找到argument里面的facts,针对这些facts给出我们自己的explanation,并说明explanation是如何一步步地解释facts的就行了。那么,针对所有的8个instructions的每个instructions准备模版就足以应付考试了?请指教。

还有个问题,新G的A63的最后一句:"Since the disadvantages outweigh any advantages, we in Parkville should discontinue organized athletic competition for children under nine."的逻辑错误是没有全面衡量正负得失:文中只提了disadvantage,根本没提advantage,他就得出结论说disadvantages outweigh any advantage。针对这一点,我们应该怎么写???

第一个问题,我觉得你这样是对的。
第二个问题,如果是evidence/question那就是:即使有如同作者所说的disadvantage存在,也缺乏证据/需要回答表明 disadvantage over advantage. 因为这个措施会带来。。。。好处。。

但是assumption 不太好套,修锐说过这里面question是什么都可以往那里转换的,但是 没有讨论利,而说弊大于利,很难用assumption来做。 我觉得除非你找不齐3个错误(其实只要逻辑链上每个链找一个就行了),否则还是别把这个逻辑谬误用在assumption题上。
