116. People learn in different ways. Some people learn by doing things; other people learn by reading about things; others learn by listening to people talk about things. Which of these methods of learning is best for you? Use specific examples to support your choice.

Before long stepping into the real world, a person always learns something either by doing things or by reading things or by listening to others’ talking. Which way on earth is the best ? Quite a few people think doing things as their preferable way, while others consider reading books as the most efficient way and that is also my opinion. I will explore my argument as follows.

Fist of all , knowledge in the form of books is the most systematic than that in any other form; and an individual can , merely by reading books ,acquire comparatively full knowledge whatever he is interested in . For example, to one student major in history art , undoubtedly the best way of obtaining his major knowledge is reading books , including relative fields books. Only by reading could that student still make himself understand the mayor things such as what the past was, what are the current trends and where the trends may turn.

Another reason to favor reading books is the low cost of learning .Compared with others means , reading books is much convenient. Only spending several dollars can one harvest more than doing things or listening to people talk.  What’s more, reading books is without being penalized by the heavy cost of failure produced by doing and with no need to cast much money into catching hold of people to talk..

Besides , reading books is also a effective way of learning. More information acquired from books can be benefits the readers all life.

Of course, learning by doing or by talking has also advantages in some extent. Sometimes one must do rather than merely read to uncover the real law behind the theories, and sometime one must listen to grasp interpersonal skills. But , all this means not only high financial cost in terms on money but also drainage in terms of energy, say,not economical.   

In brief, according to the above-mentioned reasons, there in no doubt that although other ways of learning have some advantages, the advantages of reading books outnumber those of other ways, for  reading books is the most convenient ,systematic ,and effective way of learning.
