不太懂你的意思，不过tend是和remember平行的吧

意思是答案里的tends是跟a scrub jay的，所以用单数，但是答案是D么，如果跟remember的话应该是动词原形呀..好困惑。。

这个题目其实与楼主的问题关系不大，tend to 和 can其实都是助动词功能，tend to和can是平行的。
关于sth can do and do 第二个动词是不是既可以跟主语也可以跟can平行：当然是可以的。

不可以，理由如上。其实这是逻辑问题了，can tend to逻辑上是不对的。
