在program manager的授权下这个帖子我会集中一些信息，适度并尽量回答申请者的疑问，项目的具体内容和要求可以在网站上看到。以上是新出炉的program director and co-director 的overview，会帮助申请者了解一些项目的内容。
一些简单介绍：虽然项目是基于applied math department，但其实会有statistics与economics的教授共同授课，（这三个系也有许多的phd在读我们项目）并且许多prof都是former or current chairman of department from Stat, Econ and Amath 所以会非常的重视。像我们的program director是former chairman of Stat department, 并且UW的Stat在美国是非常厉害的。我们的program director曾经开过两家公司，其中一家开发了S-PLUS学统计的人应该听说过，并且现在基本进化为了R，所以我们会在项目中使用R语言。我们的CFRM program与Russell Investment, BlackRock联系紧密，他们的一些researcher, managing director, even chief economist也是我们的教授，可以在网站中都看到。另外大家可能都会考虑是否能利用商学院的资源，目前为止我们项目的seminar与foster是互通的，但在任何地方机会还是要靠自己发掘。

另外我们项目分为online based and classroom based，毕竟classroom based有限，想进入的话需要申请者更加的优秀，我们愿意与high talented candidates更多交流。我们也非常欢迎工作人士申请我们的part time或者采用online的形式，而且我们提供两个certificate tracks，国内在职的申请者也可以可以完成online certificate，内容与CFRM项目一致不过会有取舍和缩减。另外我们的Risk Management certificate track基本上读完之后，就可以顺利通过FRM的考试。

CD的申请者如果有什么疑问可以post到下面，有时间的话会为大家解答。

I post a introduction brochure here for your convenience, we also add it on Quantnet frontpage, and yesterday we did have a successful program career workshop. FYI, our program will start in summer, some candidates worry about the schedule, I may want to make you clear that you will have one or two courses in the summer by using our online system, and the fall quarter will begin at late September, so you will not miss the start. We also will offer a online chat opportunity with program director and manager for those who interested, might be post in near future. If you guys have any questions plz continue to ask, and you could use this thread for further discussion. <Don't miss the deadline!>

我们请到了Ellen Reeves到我们项目做为期一周的Extreme Professional Makeover Bootcamp, and also one-on-one meeting, 她在Baruch MFE持续做这个Extreme Professional Makeover Bootcamp的活动，并且她是President of Harvard Alumni Association. 我们还会参加5月份在Chicago举行的Annual R Conference，希望career service的努力会有效果。

第一年好像可以用gmat 但现在我不知道是否都接受 这个网站上应该有 或者直接问小米吧

并没有很多的统计相关的项目之类

你好 我们项目希望能招到非常优秀的国内申请者 你可以大胆的尝试。关于你的问题，因为你本科是学金工的，我假设你的统计背景并不是0。有一点你应该知道，金工的项目很多时候其实用到的统计的内容会多于数学，我个人感觉其实如果不是极度quant的项目，统计的应用会更为广泛。所以如果你今后想读金工项目的话，不管到哪里统计都会占很大的比重，所以早晚这都是需要用功的地方。

你好 据我所知第一年从国内直接录取的fulltime classroom based只有两人，一人是数理+金融的背景，一人是国内top school的金融背景。我们项目在读的其他中国人基本都是美本或者在美国工作过的人，还有许多人是我们合作院系的在读phd。
