我自己的理解：（求牛人核实指点啊因为前面有evidence that，and that在语法上与前面的that并列，不符合逻辑，应该不加that与vaporize平行。但OG12 48 In 1713, Alexander Pope began his translation of the Iliad, a work that took him seven years to complete and that literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope’s contemporary, pronounced the greatest translation in any language.不补出的话会与前面形成并列而不是修饰a work。所以没有什么定从并列必补that，顺承或者会连到前面的另一个定从产生歧义时可以不补出。同样，如果和前面主句产生并列歧义就要补出，一切以有无歧义为准。

注意这里的D是： evidence that the earth....more than(that) small comets that......所以应该去掉后一个that..
OG 12: a work that.......and (a work) that......所以这里的that是需要补出的。
