刚刚读到一个，贴出来给MM看看。跟MM说的情况不太一样，但是觉得with短语有时候也会有歧义的。比如MM说的第一个，我觉得就会有可能误解为修饰womb.

(A) as one registered to an individual with a gross weight of less than 8,000 pounds

(B) to be one that is registered to an individual with a gross weight of less than 8,000 pounds

(C) as one that is registered to an individual and that has a gross weight of less than 8,000 pounds

(D) to have a gross weight less than 8,000 pounds and being registered to an individual（C）

(E) as having a gross weight of less than 8,000 pounds and registered to an individual

Choices A and B say that the individual, not the vehicle, has a gross weight of less than 8000 pounds, and defines…to be in B is incorrect. Choice C, the best answer, produces the correct phrase (defines…as) and clarifies the statement with a parallel construction (one that is … and that has…). In choice d, defines…to have is faulty, of is missing between weight and less, and being is not parallel with to have. In choice E, the verb forms having and registered are not parallel. The question is a little more difficult than the average.
