这句话没有根据,the的存在是因为后面对one有所修饰，这样的用法很多的，可以在google搜索"than the one"(加双引号搜索)到很多。

不明白你的意思。你是想说你搜索到的这些than the one指代的不是前面出现过的事物吗？

than the one本身不会有错，只是用在错误的地方才是错。所以搜索出再多的“than the one”也不能说明他在这句话里就是对的。

不过我认为那是不可能的。the就是表示特指或者独一无二的物体。小哥，越基本的也是越重要的。

语法点：

1、 比较（Comparison）：fewer than 比…少，用于可数名词（few的比较级）； less than 比…少，用于不可数名词（little的比较级）；

 
2、agreement。B中which 通常紧跟其指代的n,D中the ones 指代模糊，而且the的用法奇怪

 

我觉得因为B中have been 非常公整的对照了第一句，故而很清楚省略了people.所以我选B.

这题虽然正确答案已经给出了是B，但是我还是有些不明白，这个题到底是在比较什么？应该是people和people在比吧，而B后半部分是个句子，总感觉不妥

In my opinion E is incorrect because it makes a comparsion between number (7 people) and people.

If you substitute choice E, this is how it would look:

Only seven people this century have been killed by the great
                   white
                   shark, the man-eater of the movies, fewer than the ones killed by bee stings.

agree, at first I am not very sure about what are compared here. Indeed, I think the number of people killed by shark is compared to the number of people killed by bees, not people. and ones cannot mean the number.
