我当时选的也是C， 但是看了下以前的讨论帖，对于结构问题我倒是基本能接受，D选项的结构要优于C选项 但是问题是D选项 虽然it 这个地方指代的是to be an expatriate 但是按照就近原则，为什么这个不会产生歧义呢？ 就是为什么这个to be an expatriate的主语会是 JB本人呢？ 我当时就是因为这个原因排除的D
这里我可以讲一下， 先看D选项，时间状语：Long before it is fashionable to be a XX, 这里采用了一个结构： it is adj to do sth。it是形式主语，指代to do, 在句子中也就是 to be a XX。 其实这里才是倒装，原句的顺序是 doing sth is adj。 我们再看C选项， Long before to be a XX was fashionable. 这个句子是将D选项的倒装句还原。 但是在GMAT中并没有讲到to do 形式可以做主语。 于是错误
