GMAT中compare with/to 是不作区分的对吧？
那请问为啥第一题的compared用法是正确的，第二题的D就是错误选项了呢？
区别是？？？需要注意的是？？？

---比较错，不是compare这个单词的问题， CEO’s 和blue-collar workers比较了，两个比较点都必须出来的：现在这样子是工资和人比较了

B. that, on average, CEO’s now earn 419 times the pay of blue-collar workers, a ratio that compares to 42 times
---CEO’s now earn 419 times the pay of blue-collar workers比较点对了，但是xxx times不可以，后面必须有Noun，表示倍数得有xxx times Noun才行，这个结构跟percentage有点像，得有xxx percentage Noun，否则你根本不知道是针对什么的percentage

C. that, on average, CEO’s now earn 419 times the pay of blue-collar workers, as compared to 42 times their pay, the ratio
---CEO’s now earn 419 times the pay of blue-collar workers比较点对。times表达也对，the ratio 很好的修饰了前句：as compared to 42 times their pay因为这个结果是个比例

D. CEO’s who now earn on average 419 times more pay than blue-collar workers, as compared to 42 times their pay, the ratio
----这个结构有问题；是：A indicate that sb who xxxxxx， 连宾语都没有，所有的内容都去从句里了

-----compared修饰就近的前置名词：workers，句义不对；如果跳跃修饰the pay，pay和ratio比较也不对。

a week ==》they指代谁？可以是children也可以是chores，这里的they先行词不唯一

B. chores; by 1997 that figure had grown to nearly
six hours a week ==》用分号把两句给隔开了，分号后应该是independent clause，这里是svo关系，还有前面说的是数字，后面用that figure表示也正确。LZ看曼哈顿书that这种代词的表达可以知道：that +Noun的表达是允许的

C. chores, whereas nearly six hours a week were
spent in 1997 ==》whereas虽然表示了转折，可是如此就不平行了，前面是children spent xxx 时间, whereas xxx hours were done，前面是主动whereas是被动。这根本就不是平行的结构，如果要平行应该是：sb do sth whereas sb do sth，现在是sb do sth, whereas sth be done，就不对了。我姐的OG里貌似也有这个错误的结构

D. chores, compared with a figure of nearly six hours
a week in 1997 ==》compared作为分词应该就近修饰前置词：chores错误


E. chores, that figure growing to nearly six hours a
week in 1997 ==》虽然这里也是that figure，但是that是不能做非限制性定从前面有逗号的，即便是想作为独主的结构：svo, N的形式，也应该是svo, the figure xxx，不能用that figure放在这里
