2.文中主语讲述的 analgesics就是有定语从句来限定的，再出现such  analgesics 不是太繁琐了吗、不够简洁呀。

可analgesics是主语呀，应该优先指代它的嘛！而且in effect又是修饰整个句子的，不是修饰patients的

the potential to do sth.虽然在很多地方很多见,但在GMAT中关于potential的固定搭配是the potential for sth./ doing sth., the potential of sb. for sth.

关于代词their的指代,这里确实可能指代不清.OG中不少地方都提到这点,A....B.....their.....结构中,A,B,都是复数名词的话,后面their的指代就可能歧义.我记得OG解释中有几处都提到这点.

tulipmontreal说的对。记得看过gemj大牛的经验，他说指代问题上千万不要有什么“就近指代”的想法，即使是从句代词优先指代主语主语，主句代词优先指代从句主语，那也仅仅是“优先”，而不是“绝对”。我觉得这个总结很受用。 代词指代问题上关键还是得结合实际题目考虑，以不引起歧异为重。

关于就近指代, 就近修饰, 有个疑问:

如果某个选项,单就语法结构的就近原则来看,可能会有指代不清之嫌,但是只要一看逻辑意思就很明白它要修饰的是什么、不是什么，这种选项还会不会被批评为“指代不清”呢？

比方说，本题中ＡＢＣ项的which从句，从就近原则来看，都有修饰patients之嫌。但是逻辑意思很明显不可能是这样的。假如有一个选项是：

可选吗？
