16 3-12-植树节
1） 健康：essential to survival。 树是major part of photosynthesis, use carbon dioxide to produce oxygen。树少，呼吸困难, trees absorb not only carbon dioxide, but also dust in the air, like a set of sieves.
2） 环境：prevent desertification，soil conservation, roots keep soil

leave good habitat for birds, most of which are good for agriculture and natural balance.
3） 活动，公益，朋友一起，增进有益，社会责任感

教师节？5.1劳动节？我在加拿大这边反正没人过5.1劳动节。我觉得不一定非得找一个西方没有的，美国的很多节日其它国家一样没有，只要照一个有意义、积极向上的节日吹捧一番，自圆其说即可。

教师节好, 可以发挥发挥, 还有元宵节, 中秋节也不错

劳动节老美有, 但是日子不同.
