6. The banana that contains high level of potassium and other important minerals are considered to be one of nature’s healthiest fruits.
        A. The banana that contains high level of potassium and other important minerals are considered to be
        B. The banana, which contains high levels of potassium and other important minerals, is considered
        C. The banana, which contain high levels of potassium and other important minerals, is considered to be
        D. Bananas which contain high levels of potassium and other important minerals are considered
        E. The banana, which contains high levels of potassium and other important minerals, is considered to be

This sentence discusses characteristics of“the banana,” a singular subject. Thus, the plural verb “are” is incorrect.Additionally, the phrase “considered to be” is unidiomatic. In standard writtenEnglish, “considered” is accompanied by neither a preposition nor a verb. Finally, the relative pronoun “that” makes it seem that a particular banana, rather than bananas in general, contains high levels of potassium.
(A) This choice is incorrect as it repeatsthe original sentence.
(B)CORRECT. This choice correctly uses the singularverb “is” with the singular subject “banana,” and correctly uses “considered”without an accompanying preposition or verb. Additionally, the relative pronoun“which” properly introduces a non-restrictive clause that indicates allbananas, rather than one specific banana, contain high levels of potassium.
(C) The plural verb “contain” isincorrectly paired with the singular subject “banana.” Additionally,“considered to be” is unidiomatic.
(D) The relative pronoun “which” isincorrectly used to introduce a restrictive clause. Also, the sentence seems toindicate that certain bananas, rather than all bananas, contain high levels ofpotassium.
(E) This choice incorrectly uses theunidiomatic “considered to be.”

Consider A B,把A认作是B。

The banana that……

Some writers follow the convention thatwhich can only be used for nonrestrictive clauses, but insistence on this ruleis controversial
补充:需要注意的是,并不是出现consider sth to be/as就是错的。

In California, a lack of genetic variationin the Argentine ant has allowed the species to spread widely; due to theirbeing so genetically similar to one another, the ants consider all theirfellows to be a close relative and thus do not engage in the kind of fierceintercolony struggles that limits the spread of this species in its nativeArgentina.
A.due to their being so genetically similarto one another, the ants consider all their fellows to be a close relative andthus do not engage in the kind of fierce intercolony struggles that limits.
B.Due to its being so genetically similarthe ant considers all its fellows to be a close relative and thus does notengage in the kind of fierce intercolnny struggles that limit.
C.Because it is so genetically similar, theant considers all its fellows to be close relatives and thus does not engage inthe kind of fierce intercolony struggles that limits.
D.Because they are so genetically similarto one another, the ants consider all their fellows to be close relatives andthus do not engage in the kind of fierce intercolony struggles that limit.
E.Because of being so genetically similarto one another, the ants consider all their fellows to be a close relative andthus do not engage in the kind of fierce intercolony struggles that limits.

idiom: consider A B 不用加to be 或者 as,因此排除ACE

consider后边的to be 经常省略。

首先consider A B的固定搭配,排除A、C、E,然后one of nature’s healthiest fruits前面应该用The banana,排除D,D里面which用的也不对,加逗号或者改成that

Potassium

A consider A B,不用加to be。

B 正确。

C consider A B,不用加to be; the banana 做主语,定语从句中的动词contain应该用谓语单数。

E consider A B,不用加to be。

B
固定搭配,consider后面不需要to be或者 as, consider A B,  A is considered B

one of the..fruits所以主语肯定是单数,继续排除D
consider sth (to be)sth 也有consider AB。to be 在GMAT中倾向省略

In (A) and (C), which introduces a restrictive clause. Some writers follow the convention that which can only be used for nonrestrictive clauses, but insistence on this rule is controversial, and both (A) and (C) can be rejected on other grounds.

题目:
Carnivorous mammals can endure what would
otherwise be lethal levels of body heat because they have a heat-exchange network which kept the brain from getting too hot.
(A) which kept
(B) that keeps
(C) which has kept
(D) that has been keeping
(E) having kept

Many house builders offer rent-to-buy programs that enable a family with insufficient savings for a conventional down payment to move into new housing and to apply
