其中这句话，the Shang were the first leterate culture in EA, the Shang指的是商代的人，用were这里没有问题。后面是are说明到现在还是认为well known。
问题是这句话是主系表结构，那么表语是对主语的描述，说明，搭配必须合理才可以呀。我们怎么可以说商代的人是 the first leterate culture 呢？是我翻译错了还是另有所指？谢谢大家！

the Shang 对应谓语应该用复数，所以排除C。
E可理解成省略了were，即 the Shang were the first literate culture in East Asia and （were）well known for its crafted，
但是这里用are 更合理，即商朝人以xx闻名，这个现在仍成立。
另外E中its也不对，应该是their。

其实我也是用排除法来做的~但是做完了以后我就是没有理解答案这句，为什么可以说The shang were the first literate culture.因为我们不是认为the shang 是商朝的人么，那么这样我们怎么用主系表说shang were the culture? 我觉得这里搭配对应不上呀。。
