SVO，V-ing这种结构不是错误的，但是经常错误，原因是V-ing可修饰的对象很多
1.S
2.SVO整个句子
3.临近的名词。（一般这种情况下没有逗号，但有时会通过加入插入语逗号的情况欺骗咱们）
判断方法主要根据逻辑含义，辅以动词和逻辑主语的形态一致原则。
一般来说，三种指代方法中的第一种（S）可以用代词更有效的表达，第三种可以用which，that的定语从句更有效的表达，第二种（少见）可以通过概括性名词同位语的方法进行表达。
这三种替换都避免了V-ing修饰对象的歧义问题。
但是有的时候没有更优选项，V-ing在不存在修饰对象歧义的情况下也是可以选的

顺便分析一下LZ的例子，第一题中是修饰S的情况，之所以不存在修饰就近名词的歧义，是因为这个逗号并不是因为插入语产生。从逻辑含义上，也可以排除修饰整个句子的嫌疑。

第二个题中AB选项诟病颇多，应该不用解释了吧

这要看那个逗号的属性，如果是因为插入语存在，而且S，O都符合逻辑上的分词修饰对象条件，则可以认定这个修饰是有歧义的。

OG104 中说if  the participal phrase were to modify the previous clause, a comma would have been inserted .

这个地方我理解不能。看来我误读了语法笔记上的一条，就是求实修饰就近名词的时候，逗号不一定必须由插入语产生。

突然想起来了，我好像是弄混了分词在noun后面做定语的情况和这种情况，恩，那看来是误读无误了……

逆水潜龙

逗号加ing优先作状语修饰前面的SVO。
如果题目（GWD9 2)逻辑意思是要做定语的话，一般情况下都错·
只有在修饰不到SVO情况下，才有可能用作定语修饰。但修饰不到SVO的情况极少，例如前面SVO是完成时，再跟ing表现在是不能的。这时候才有可能修饰作定语。
