ambiguous.

我想知道，为什么被动语态不好？哪里体现weak,哪里又体现ambiguous了？？？？

还有第一题中，也涉及到了定从中的主被动问题！
我感觉这两题考点好像，但是不知道有什么具体的联系？

我的理解是：这里面的定从想要修饰的是Jams Cook ，而他是从句动作的发出者，所以不能用被动！
而第七题，定语从句修饰的是market sales，从句要表达的是：公司在去年让给竞争者的，market sales 是动作的承受者，应该用被动才对吧！
难道是因为concede to 不能用被动吗？

首先“被动是unfavorable”的这句话是一个准则，大多数时候我们不争论为什么这样而只是接受GMAC的游戏规则。

至于原因，被动语态只能单纯的描述动作的受让者而无法表达动作的发出者，因此是weak并且ambiguous的。例如在第七题中，C选项说market被让给了对手，但是我们并不清楚谁把market让给了竞争对手。主动句则清楚的表达了“那个公司（前文所说的）把市场让给竞争对手”

不是的啊，曼哈顿统计了有60%都是用被动，还说如果拿不准，就选被动的。。。gmat老人故意反其道而行之给选项。这题我也不知道哪里ambiguous了。
