Number Theory is almost irrelevant to econ or finance, associative rings should be some specific topics followed by modern algebra(not sure though),and theory of interest are not a math class. Advanced Calculus seems good, is it the same class as the one u've taken or just another one in the sequence? people know two advanced calculus classes are not simply two identical courses. -- by 会员 moontroy (2011/8/25 22:50:49)
Thank you for your prompt reply. The course I took before is Adv Cal in Finance, which teaches some important models like Black scholes, and a little bit patial diff equations. However, this course is using the book entitled "Intro to Analysis".
This is the Advanced Calculus course objective. After the completion of this course, students will be able to 1. describe a rigorous treatment of the development of real number system. 2. state the concept of limit and its use in developing the derivative and the integral. 3. explain the properties of infinite sequence and series and how this leads to a fundamental understanding of functions and their applications. 4. describe the role of the study of trigonometric series in the development of modern analysis. |
