一、语法大全上的168题：

翻了CD上以前关于这题解释的帖子，但还是不明白。
看不懂D项than之后will a quake of comparable magnitude occurring in the West。
如果按照will，此句应该是比较主语，但后面的a quake of comparable magnitude occurring in the West，这个如何理解？

二、
查曼哈顿网站，上面有这样一个东西：

either of those constructions is fine:

francis ran faster than xavier.
francis ran faster than xavier ran.
francis ran faster than did xavier.
francis ran faster than xavier did.

请问：第三句francis ran faster than did xavier.为什么也是对的啊？这个did放到xavier之前如何理解？

OG12的逻辑部分，第107题正确选项D，说明下面这句的语法是GMAT是允许的。这句里面的did位置如何理解？感觉跟上面两个问题都有相似之处。
The refuse incinerated this year will generate no more residual ash per truckload incinerated than did the refuse incinerated last year.

这个问题我也好奇了很久，去网上查了一些解释，觉得这个比较靠谱：

比较从句的倒装：
as, than引导的比较从句中，如果主语是名词短语且较长，经常采用倒装结构（不倒装也可以）。注意：这种结构主语一般为名词，如果是代词则不倒装。
如：
　　Hydrogen burns much more cleanly than do other fuels and is easy to produce.
　　Today’s electuic cars cannot go as fast as gasoline-driven vehicles because the battery does not offer the same amount of energy as does gasoline combustion.
　　Reading is to the mind as is exercise to the body.

这道题里面主语是“a quake of comparable magnitude occurring in the West” （与"an earthquake  that occurs in the eastern United States" 对比），显然是一个很长的名词短语，所以倒装读起来比较顺。个人见解，希望大家一起讨论。
