【此处it的指代在逻辑上说只能是the nature （of language and the processes），原因：research是主语，不会是主语make自己understandable，即使是，这里也应该用itself，因此这里只能是主语make X understandable。X=IT=research on (the nature of language and the processes)括号内是名词性短语，也就是一个词，不能把它拆分为几个单数复数成分，它就是一个词,一个复合词，但复合词也是“一个词”，比如中国北京大学出版社，没有人会把它拆成中国+北京+大学+出版社，来分别考虑指代问题，它是一个词。】

C-by which it is produced and understood 逻辑意思错，it指代同A，但这玩意自己不可能produced and understood，是research把它怎么样怎么样了，也就是make it understandable

个人经验：做题思路不是主动优于被动，而是看主谓宾之间的关联，主语做的事情，就是主动。宾语做的事情就是被动。

我还是比较肯定是C，上个帖子懒得说了，今天说说我的想法。
说到it的指代，A跟C半斤八两，其实按道理，原句中提的是 the nature of laguange, 这是一个整体，那个it本来就有点不走正路，因为前文没有非常sound的antecedent。

抛开这个问题，我觉得A C最大的区别是process跟language的关系。 A中是process make了language，然后还make the langugage understandable.  C是language 在某个process中给made 以及变得可以被理解。

那个对？ 我觉得是C，就好像，rule 永远不可能有intention，所以永远是rule intended.....一个意思。 language 不会被process make出来，只能是人make language， 而人make language 在抽象意义上是by 某个process而已。

c里面it是有问题但是很好奇 但是A里面的instead of也不好 白勇里面说了 一般书面表达不用instead of 所以很纠结。。。
