有人告诉我在GMAT语法中,compare to 和compare with完全没有区别,都是与…比较的意思。 然后又有人告诉我,compare to指“把…比作”,而compare with才表示“比较”。比如: He compared her to an evil shrew.(比作) The paralegal compared the copied signature with the original.(比较)
manhattan语法 chapter 9: idioms strategy, 148页 The GMAT ignores the traditional distinction between COMPARED TO (emphasizing similarities) and COMPARED WITH (emphasizing differences). 所以两个都行.
除了Compared with/to打头的, 楼主还要注意的是
不是最佳, 但是语法正确, 不一定是错误选项: AS COMPARED WITH/TO horses, zebras are vicious.
错误的: WHEN COMPARED TO horses, zebras are vicious. Zebras are MORE vicious COMPARED TO horses.
