LZ说的没有错，Whereas确实要求前后平行，所以可以首先排除C。
接下来需要分析use和usage的区别：
use：an instance or way of employing or using something.强调方法。
usage:a customary way of doing something.强调惯用的习俗或者俗语。所以排除DE。
接下来可以用简单的idiom排除like举例是不对的，所以答案是A。
其实D的句型也不对，Whereas A, B, while if的句型不知道究竟是谁和谁在比较，另外不曾有印象看到while if连用的说。
选项A是一个由and连接的完全平行的句子，非常Beautiful。
