一口气看了好多个这题的讨论帖,觉得还是这个解释最靠谱~


D的主干是:because moisture +定语从句, raising the humidity within them这部分是修饰紧跟在前面的visitors的,而不是修饰because之前的结构. 句子第一层结构是解释因果关系,第二层意思才包含了 visitors的定语的信息(raising...).可以想象成树形结构.从结构上来看,raising只是描述visitors的,所以them更应该是指向visitors.


E的主干是:because moisture had raised the humidity level within them, them就在句子的主干里头,所以不容易被怀疑为是指代visitors.在这里,visitors反而成为了主干中主语moisture的定语exhaled by visitors中的次要信息了,不是树形结构的 同一层次


这样的理解不知道对不对,会不会更清晰

没想到抓抓也在看这个讨论帖。。。。。
   看了半个小时才看懂。但是抓抓D选项的解释是不是跟之前引用的解释有点冲突呀，没看懂树形结构是什么……
我想 d能不能这样理解：把becauseof和moisture that was exhaled by tourists raising the humidity within them 分开来看，后一句里面的主语是moisture，moisture[ that was exhaled (by tourists ）]aising the humidity （within them）这里的by tourist和within them 同样做宾语，所以指代的是tourists。
