1. research indicate that---后面用or，我总觉得不爽，这里没有取舍的关系，用and比较好；

2. 问题的关键是when shopping for cars，这里用了省略，补全了就是when （few people are shopping） for cars；

而省略的条件是：1主语一致，都是few people；2 谓语是be，C这里也是be（are）

如果选E，就不对了，要补出have been shopping for cars了，可能吗？

Yukon，我的意思不是时态要一致，而是前面的谓语也要有be（不管是is，are，were,was等），而不是单纯的made

我错了。错误的原因不在时态，而是

状语从句省略时，主句并不要求是be为谓语。

对此错误表示伤心、痛苦和绝望。

我有个疑问: E里面的they do究竟do指代什么, 从句意上说似乎是指代drive, 但是driving在前面是一个名词, 这么指代符合语法吗?

自己顶一下.

原来如此..谢谢…但这样有什么意义??省略的that是指代the amount of driving吗??原句就变few people drive the amount of driving??不懂为什么要这样写??若后面没有they do也可以很清楚表达the amount of driving跟few people有关啊..还是可以改写为the amount of their driving??

我觉得the amount of driving they do相当于they do the amount of driving，就和do shopping一样，只不过前面多了the amount of，表示量
