GWD-9-Q15

Dressed as a man and using the name Robert Shurtleff, Deborah Sampson, the first

woman to draw a soldier’s pension, joined the Continental Army in 1782 at the age of 22,

was injured three times, and was discharged in 1783 because she had become too ill to

serve.

A. 22, was injured three times, and was discharged in 1783 because she had become

14

B. 22, was injured three times, while being discharged in 1783 because she had

become

C. 22, and was injured three times, and discharged in 1783, being

D. 22, injured three times, and was discharged in 1783 because she was

E. 22, having been injured three times and discharged in 1783, being

Answer:a ?

joined, was injured..., and was discharged

D, injured three times, injured該用被動was injured, 如果理解成分詞結構, 則後面的and變得多餘...

A, had become實在讓人一眼看上去不舒服, 可是had come ill 所以was discharged我想是可以接受的...

同時joined, was injured..., and was discharged很平衡啊, 第一個主動, 後面兩個被動, 表達三個動作狀態

open to discuss...

A:  joined in 1782, was injured, and was discharged in 1783 because she had become

实际上, joined in 1782, and was discharged in 1783才是真正的并列, 中间的(was) injured 是插入说明,

是a major tobacco company, the amount, or oxygen?

我觉得Liu_9000说得很对。

a. in which thin layers of extra paper are used to decrease the amount of oxygen entering the cigarette, thereby slowing

c. that uses thin layers of extra paper to decrease the amount of oxygen when it enters the cigarette, thereby slowing

最后, that的限制性指代优于in which.
