我觉得哦。。。这个就是一个插入语，极端口语化的表述。在句中的含义就是等于同 according to its proponents.

我觉得哦。。。这个就是一个插入语，极端口语化的表述。在句中的含义就是等于同 according to its proponents.

同意上面的解释。把say放在说话者前面，一种很老的用法，口语里面有用，估计GMAT不会接受的。
类似的比如：
"I do hope," said Millie, "they haven't forgotten all about it." (摘自张道真语用)

另外say放在句首还有其他含义：
1. 表示“假定、譬如说”（常用在插入语），say做adv.：
(1)Say x equals the unknown quality.   --> 这个用法好像在GMAT里面也见过。
(2)Let's take a trip, say, along the coast.
2. Let's say或Just say省略为say，意思也是假如：
(1)(Let's) Say your plan fails: then what do you do?
(2)(Just) Say you won the lottery, what would you do?
