I've actually been to CA and NYC for a few times so I'm certainly aware of the level of cost of living in both places. I was just offering a kind reminder in case that LZ hasn't already taken this factor into account in his decision making process. Of course, if money is not a problem for LZ then just disregard my post.

I wasn't questioning your credibility or anything. It was more of a complaint/whine about the prohibitive living cost in CA/NYC. That's all.
Now I have to go pump some $4.29/gallon gas, damn ....

Hello my friend.  And congrats on a great choice! Now, keep in mind that neither of these programs is known for manufacturing—and I cant tell from your question whether you are hoping to stay in that field.  Both schools are evenly matched from a reputation standpoint—if I were in your shoes, and this is a personal decision, I would go to Georgetown.  Why?  Because DC is so fun!  Great city, great exposure, and great culture.  Georgetown will also have a fabulous network—after all, Bill Clinton and others (their international affairs school is the best in the world) represent a great networking opportunity there, especially for international students.  So you cant go wrong here, and we love Olin.  But if I were in your shoes, for all the reasons mentioned, I’d go to G-town in DC…

L.A. 再说,ST.LOUIS也算是个大城市。
