天啊～尊重原文哪！  原文的意思就是sandpipers vanishing ...is a result of    B 选项改成the bird itself is vanishing...as a result of 肯定是不厚道的。

最重要的是Like要求两者一定是同样的，不管后面跟的动词是怎样。  比如：like a person.....,  the wolf which eat pig...这种like对么！？？？！！！  按上面的道理 person 和 wolf 都eat呀！

ETS不会搬起石头砸自己脚想到那么变态的，个人认为答案是A

不要理后面的定语从句that the upland sandpiper needs for feeding and nesting when it returns in May after wintering in the Argentine Pampas,文章意思是说：绿草地和旧牧场像这种鸟一样正在消失，由于...原因。the grassy fields and old pastures也在做is vanishing 的主语，且the grassy fields and old pastures 和the bird itself除了在数之外，其他方面都是对等的！
