是说选项中的it指代的是this species么？  那么这里的ant表示的意思就是这个物种了？
但是总感觉it is so genetically similar 很奇怪， similar应该至少两个以上的比较才能是similar呀~ it是单数如何能说similar？

而且选项中最后的that应该指代的是struggles吧？ 那么C选项中的limits用的是单数形式就不对了。
但是答案是C。
难道是that的指代我理解错了？

我做的时候没有想那么多， 就是看到后面的its 就选了C ，
这里的that可以指代kind啊，属于 A of B that的结构

嗯~看了你对that的解释我觉得这个that应该指的是the kind而不是struggles （根据A选项的句义推断的）。
之前做的时候在C D 之间纠结，结果看到这个that 就认定是就近修饰struggles所以就选D了， 没有注意A of B的这个特殊情况！

不客气了， 我也没有注意到， 我看到后面的its 就选C， 也没有细揪，
根本没有发现这个问题哈，感觉这个题出的真的很好啊， D选项超级诱惑哈
