Hey there--most schools will simply look at your background, and if you are able to skip some classes they will let you. There are no hard and fast rules. However, many schools (including HBS, for example) will not let you skip...any classes. EVERYONE will take the same classes in your first year. Some folks without a financial background will have to take some EXTRA classes, but generally there is some kind of core curriculum that EVERYONE needs to take. Stanford offers some accelerated courses--but again, most of your classes your first year will likely be required. Some schools like Booth have NO core curriculum--but this is the exception, and not the rule. If you wanna take some intensive finance classes, look for schools (like Booth) that have LOTS of flexibility in the curriculum. And good luck my friend!
