我想知道while本身到底含有at the same time的意思吗？或者说while表示转折的时候仅仅是只有转折的意思？
在prep语法笔记中有一道题就说了while与then在一起矛盾--就是因为while有at the same time的意思

A．    即便表示转折对比，while也有”at the same time“的含义在里面，与then矛盾，并让句意变成了the health care company expanding and falling是同时发生的，但是实际上应该是先became largest，然后再fell；its payment没有问题，只是没有in paying to简洁

while: 句中的谓语动词应为持续动词，不用短暂动词，谓语动作发生的时间通常与主句谓语动词动作发生时间是同时。
as: 侧重指从句与主句的动作同时进行，谓语动词可以是持续性的，可以是短暂性动词。

while是连词，有两个意思：1.当...的时候，即during the time that
2.表示一种对比，轻微的转折，可以翻译成“然而”“尽管”
这里的while取第二个意思，与at the same time不重复
另外，while doing是省略句，完整应为while they are supporting...需要注意的是，while是从属连词，相当于引导状语从句，因此，如果从句的谓语动词是be,从句主语又与主句主语相同，可以都省略，比如这个句子中的they are；而but是并列连词，连接地位相等的并列的分句,所以对省略的要求更严格，必须两个分句主谓语完全相同的部分才可以省略（故B项不正确）
