在被CBS, Wharton, MIT, Tuck, Booth, Kellogg无情地ding后，没想到现在我却幸福却更痛苦地纠结于LBS和NYU之间。。。（Fatass, convince me to go to NYC!）

附面试体会：
1）Adcom hub interview不是blind interview，在面试前已经认真看过了申请人的package。
2）面试问题都比较general的，之前的面筋贴子已有叙述。
3）hub interview虽然只有一个面试官，但看来问每个人的问题可能会很不一样，所以还是把general questions都准备一下才是王道。
4）个人感觉NYU在面试时比较关注未来的就业情况，会问申请人对未来计划从事的职业现在已经有了什么了解和认识、如果找不到internship有什么backup plan、如果毕业没找到career goal里写的工作有什么backup plan等。这是我面其他adcom interview没有被问到过的问题。个人建议着重准备一下。

hey butters i didn't figure that you are a britpop fan. my fav bands are stone roses and pulp btw.

i don't know how london is like but judging from your taste in culture, east village is simply perfect and nyu will be damn fine for you.

although the late cbgb club is selling john varvatos right now and soho's become gentrified, you can still taste the organic chaos in that area, a mixture of  dirty sexy money from wall street, the smell of authentic canton food in china town and the wandering spirit of warhol, ginsberg and velvet goldmine at their prime. being the noted "professor chaos", i assume you'll like it although you'll become a rich bastard in some thousand dollar suit later for sure. but hey we have tisch! and lady gaga as the most famous alum!

as an mpa candidate i actually turned down the ad from columbia sipa for nyu wagner, mostly because of the location and the school's down to earth attitude. for me, first of and above all, choosing how and where i should spend the 2 years of my life is very, very important, given that there are only 10 years in my 20s. so follow your heart and choose very carefully, for you and your family.

已经把Butters当自家人了，一高兴先替他回答了问题，忘了恭喜。

Congratulations Butters. Come to NYC. Here is why.

1. 教育方式：我有个在英美Top 3 Univ都读过书的好友，说美式教育比英式教育更好。我就是听了他的才选的美国。我很高兴自己做了这个决定。网上也有一些类似的帖子。非常同意，generally我也更向往美国教育
2. 学习环境：回想一下电视上看到的英国学费大涨、学生上街掀翻警车的镜头……事实上LBS学费折算过来好像9w美刀都不到，比绝大多数美国top学校都便宜，不过花100万读书还是105万读书貌似区别不大呵呵
3. 就业环境：你肯定已经看过我们的答疑贴了，此处不赘言。Stern中国学生去向的大体趋势基本表现为：banking, or NY, if not both. 这是我还需要调查的地方，但是so far了解下来两边学校的中国人就业数据都相当给力！不过英国work visa政策至少是蒙上了一层阴影。
4. 生活环境：饮食——好像纽约的中餐馆更多（印象，无数据支撑）；文化——你可以看看CBS2012答疑贴里面这两天有关于纽约的文化生活的介绍，写得很好，供参考http://forum.chasedream.com/North_American_MBA/thread-521900-15-1.html 嗯，NYU和CBS同学的热心介绍真是太详尽了，sweeeeeeeet！
5. 适应：我看过的美影美剧和BBC英剧之比大概为19:1，所以我来美国更没有cultural shock. 这点我比较没概念。从兴趣上来说，我喜欢britpop，soccer，Simon Pegg/Guy Ritchie这样的英式幽默电影，所以应该会找到乐子；而在美国networking需要能侃棒球队、冰球队、篮球队及相应明星球员，对于老美这些运动实在是没化学反应，所幸美国也有相当给力的独立电影和摇滚乐队。另一方面，我听说英国人不太友好，不像美国人开放热情更真诚一些，我相信US是世界上包容度最高的地方了。不过，我还真不知道自己比较内敛的性格有没有可能会挺适合在英国生存的。。。怪就怪自己就是个大土鳖，没体验过美国和英国的experience，无从比较，anyway既然选择读MBA就要把性格再放开些。。。
6. 朋友：MBA is basically about job-searching and networking，想想你的south park majiang gang...强烈同意，美国圈子大，朋友肯定更多
7. 天气：last but not least...伦敦冬天下雨，比较……湿冷……
8. 如果你有些特殊情况，比如有些中东、印度好友或者自己家族产业在伦敦，所以舍不得……可以理解，那可以第二学年交换去LBS读一个学期就好了嘛。

是个甜蜜而痛苦的选择，多问问，多比较，祝好运。再次恭喜。期待夏天在纽约见到你！

BTW，我虽然大爱布勒，但其实很博爱，安慰剂，收音机头，石玫瑰，山羊皮，甚至killers和敲击等都灰常喜欢。。

I like Radiohead, Coldplay, Muse, Lostprophets, James Blunt, Bush, Garbage, etc.

Maybe we can start a band.  Wendy is the lead singer.  Timmy is backup vocals.  Butters can play the drums.  I will play the guitar.

Where's Token?  We need a bass player.

Here are my two cents on how we shall start a britpop band:

- Let's all lose some weight and try to fit in these skinny jeans that a britpop singer would always wear as the first step.
- Learn to fake the accent, mate!
- Date Kate Moss.

I play some broken guitar, too. Should have spent the time chasing rock stars on practising. Look at me now, end up with someone like Timmy and still cannot play well.

Dear 楼主！我是应届生，今年入职四大审计，墙裂同意楼主prefer stern to LBS. 今年没去帝国的金融硕士和LSE的统计硕士，执意来到了四大，想申美国的MASTER/MBA。想问一个问题：楼主的四大同事，都是在第几年申请，以及申请到哪些商学院了？
