《福布斯》的排名指标:No. 1: Student Satisfaction (27.5%) 学生满意度(权重27.5%)No. 2: Postgraduate Success (30%) 毕业生的成就(权重30%)Salary of Alumni from Payscale.com (15%)
Listings of Alumni in Who‘s Who in America (10%)
Alumni in Forbes/CCAP Corporate Officers List (5%)

  No. 3: Student Debt (17.5%)
Four-year Debt Load for Typical Student Borrower (12.5%)
  Student Loan Default Rates (5%)

  No. 4: Four-year Graduation Rate (17.5%)
  Actual Four-year Graduation Rate (8.75%)
Predicted vs. Actual Four-year Graduation Rate (8.75%)

  No. 5: Competitive Awards (7.5%)
  Student Nationally Competitive Awards (7.5%)

In America, I think that the ranking of a graduate school is less important than the fact that your school is known for having a good program for what you are studying. It is true that some Americans will judge schools by rank--for example, somebody who went to Harvard or MIT has a degree that is more valued than somebody who went to a public school, such as the University of New Hampshire. However, I would honestly say that as far as the job market goes, being a good student and coming from a school that is known for having a strong program in whatever you are studying is more important than the school being ranked number one. For example, MIT is a wonderful school, but it is known for its science programs. Somebody who gets a degree in history from MIT will probably be able to get a job--but it would be much better if they came from a school like the University of Chicago, which is known for having a great history program.
