答案是A， 我选的B
有疑问就是A中的symbolized 可否用一般现在时，我觉得也可以
to him 作为一个插入语在A选项里面，那么在B选项中他是个什么成分？是做补语吗？

还有就是V+ing 到底是否可以逗号后使用，记得有一题PREP里面说V+ing修饰前面的部分，而WHICH则是修饰逗号前紧跟的词

B 选项的 to him 有使意思表达模糊，不知道 to him 插入语 不应该放在 symbolized the possibility of freedom 的后面，应该放在前面，明确表示 to him 是来修饰 the land的.

v+ing 可以加逗号使用，要么是修饰 前面整个句子，要么是表示 和 前面主句部分的动词 是一起发生的。
如果 V+ing 不加逗号，那么就必须是修饰紧接着得名词。
which 不管加不加逗号，修饰的必须是前面紧接的名词。
