strongly disagree with sdcar. what the hell does writing sample have anything to do with "... special and capable to become a successful businessperson"? writing sample is all about how u construct ur idea. it translates more into how you comprehend the proposed research agenda rather than what kind of agenda you are proposing. don't make ur wording and logic devastating. try to formulate ur idea in a way not only acceptable to common sense but also constructed to institutionalized format. if u r able to criticize with insightful opinions on some current research agenda, that would be great. if u r able to entertain models built in the frameworks u r talking about, that would be even better. in case u do not have a general idea about anything related to research topics, i would recommend u read some journal articles first before rushing to formulate anything that may drag u out of somewhere to nowhere. and, quite straight forward, yes, stick with the big domain u r supposed to spend 4-5 yrs working on. don't do anything stupid or novel as u may assume it wold be. good luck~ -- by 会员 galluplinc (2010/11/14 5:36:05)
one more thing, read as much as you can to comprehend what was going on, what is going on, and what is expected for in terms of research agenda in ur big domain |
