这两个不是一个语法点:

GWD but rather it is 中的it指代的是the position it(philosopher’s new work ) takes。基本句型
The response is not that the position xxx but rather it(the position) is xxxx.

而OG12中的it is none这里的it是形式主语，一般使用形式主语是用于强调。
none was more concentrated than本身已经是强调了，所以再用形式主语做强调就显得wordy了。
