Hi,I am a first-year Tippie MBA student from China. I would like to introduce the Tippie MBA program to you, which I think is really exceptional. However, only one or two Chinese students get admitted to the program each year due to limited applications from China.



I will consistently update what I have been experiencing in this program. Today two things first:


1) The Tippie Full-Time MBA Program provides Graduate Assistantships to good international candidates, which covers most tuition expenses and provides some living expenses monthly. Based on my observation, most international students were awarded the scholarships this year.



2) This year and almost every year, Tippie MBA students have the chance to meet with Warren Buffett. They can ask him questions and have lunch with him. This is an opportunity some people would pay millions of dollars in charity auctions to get while it is free for us.

Based off my applying experience last year, Tippie seems like preferring internatinal applicants with high GMAT (>700) and solid working experience (>2 yrs). With this kind of screening process, it makes sense that most international students have GA or other type of scholarship.

How is the size of this year's class?

Mopton, we have 70 students this year, and 68 students for the class 2011. To my point of view, one of coolest things here is the size of the Tippie program. The relatively small size of the program ensures every student obtain favorable attention from faculty and staff. The ratio of faculty to students is about 1:6 if I remember correctly which is very high over MBA programs. In addition, the career service is customized to each student. For example, each student will meet his/her career adviser and academy director at least once per month.

个人觉得呀：拿奖人一般都有工作经验，GMAT》650。 因为女生比例比较小，学校尤其鼓励女生申请。学校招生负责人曾提过国际学生尤其是女生可以申请免申请费（GMAT>680）。我不清楚具体的审批情况，可是大家如果感兴趣可以要求一下。

MBA students and their families got together on Nov. 17th in the evening to enjoy a thanksgiving dinner. Several first year MBA students also gave a presentation about this major holiday.
