when后面是一个完整的句子，好像你的谓语确定错了。encounter是谓语，hot winds encounter heavy cold air即热空气遇见冷空气。所以应该选择rising这种分词修饰的形式。

18、是不是应该to sample一起划线，如果是这样的话

to sample--> a sample

这句话得意思是：公众调查的基本要素包括本采访者，采访问题，列表设备，和一个人数样本。

前面几个都是名词，所后面也改成名词，sample作为样本讲是可数，所以是a sample

38、tops of sunken mountain ranges

这句话的意思是说，很多太平洋的岛屿都是从海床长起的火山，和那些下沉山脊的顶端。

18题书上是没有和to 一起划线啊，不过我也觉的要和to一起划线。

38题怎么真老九说改成tops of,linlin315说改成top of,到底改成哪个呢？
