prep语法里说2.    注意doubling the increase of 和 double as much as the increase of是两个完全不同的结构
我想知道double as much as the increase of是个什么结构？正确么？

我觉得是因为 double应该是用来指young adults的数量增加了，只用一个doubling those有指代不详语义不清的嫌疑。而E用了number整个句子的意义就清楚了。

这道题答案是E.  A is wrong because of "doubling those," which in this sentence refers to nothing. The author intends for it to refer to young adults, but it could only refer to percent as it stands.  B, to double 错误， C也和A一样，D不可以说 twice as much as the men….(要用many)          If the noun in question is already an explicitly numerical quantity, then you should use neither "much" nor "many". Instead, you should just use "twice" or "double" by itself.  e.g., twice the increase --> "increase" is an explicitly numerical quantity
