Hello there!  Happy to answer this question.  Certain schools are well known for their Sports Management programs, including Texas A&M, Florida, and George Washington.  However, we would recommend that you don’t seek out a specific program in this field; after all, if you have a good enough application, you should simply go to the best school you can get into.  Go to the school with the best reputation.  If you have great work experience and a good score on your GMAT, go to a top ten program—whether or not they have a specific “sports management program,” they will have plenty of alums who are connected in that business.  For example, Harvard Business School doesn’t have a reputation for “the entertainment business” at all—but most Hollywood studios are run by HBS grads.  I hope this helps!

Comrad Jon Frank is indeed very helpful.

I had a friend who was an American Born Chinese with an IT consulting background and he applied with a "I want to get into sports management." theme and was dinged from every M7 school he applied to (he was a bit young but had a solid GMAT ~750).  He changed gears the next year and get into some schools.

Sports Management is a narrow field and hard to break into.  You will need to have very convincing story to win adcom approval.  I agree with Jon that you should just build a strong package and try to get into the best school and not worry about which one is the best program.  Just make sure your "sports management" career aspiration is logical and realistic.
