根据优先指代主句主语原则 完全可以 they指代 the Monument Valley Anasazi
而且这样的话 their和they还对应 呵呵
我认为也可以不从指代下手

og里面说的they 指代不清  我认为可以这么理解
where引导的定语从句  where they had less limited water access 是修饰clans 这里就把clans当成一个place   where这么翻译: 在那里  一般习惯上这里的they都不会是要修饰的词即clans
譬如 I go to some places where they can sing  这里的they 肯定是前文提到的某些人 where从句修饰places
呵呵  个人看法  还是那句话 考试的时候别过多纠结指代 指代的重点是单复数, 依靠指代不清来做题 往往头脑想破了 还做错了  
对了 有一题目甚是不解  给各链接  帮忙参考下

同意！因为代词用法很灵活，而且在短时间里不容易发现绝对错误。
所以，个人认为做题目的时候一般最后用代词来排除选项。

C选项可以看看less limited water
这里less既可以修饰water也可以修饰limited，因此表意不明，可以杀掉！

LS，不完全同意 wangxiwei 的看法。

103题中A选项，OG明确说：They, referring to wasps, is an incorrect subject for consist.
they的确是指代wasps，而consist应该修饰society才对。

102题中C选项，OG明确说：They is ambiguous and might refer to either the Anasazi or other clans; less limited water access is awkward.
they是分不清Anasazi还是clans的。

所以指代还是要考虑进去。否则102中的C可以通过别的方式排除，但是103中的A语法上却只有they排除。

我对102有这么个疑问啊~
这个先行词是clans那么应该用whose而不能用where吧？~

我发现此题有关代词解释和OG上另一题的解释有矛盾点,求指教！！！

102题OG说they指代不明确，不确定指代Anaaszi还是other clans；
但当我做到OG106题时发现正确选项里有个“it”, 其前也有好多单数名词（如radio/tool/telephone），但OG上却说“it”指代明确

所以纠结了，求指点啊~~~~~

我個人對這一題的c有點不同看法。
c的錯誤應該是在於less limited water access的less本身修飾有歧意。
到底是less [limited water access]？還是less limited [water access]？
這兩者天差地遠噢，前者是變得更少，後者是限制更少也就是水更多。
正確答案A選項則巧妙地把less limited移到後面避開了這個歧意。

where there was就是OG解释中所说的wordy和awkward吧！！对于神马wordy和awkward什么的一直不是很了解，这个用语法解释的话为什么是awkward的呢？还是B中有其他部分是OG解释中所说的awkward 呢？？

不知道where there was……的是wordy的可不可以这么解释？：
 there有两种用法一种是作代词指代地点，这个时候一定需要一个地点神马的给它来指代一下。I got my bachelor degree there。还有一中用法就是作为there be中来使用，这个时候不需要有指代对象，比如there is lot of money in my house（纯粹YY）
而这个句型中where there was中很明显是用作定语从句来修饰前面的clans的，这里的there可能想要表达的是other clans的地盘，那这个时候where就SB了，呗这句话给抛弃了，变得多余了，加之there was 表示一种自然的拥有状态也不对，所以这种用法where there be就是wordy了。。不知道这样解释这个的wordy和awkward可不可以？？求教大神！！！！！

同意！原句 access to water was less limited 已经很清晰了，C-->ambiguity

这个观点有点不敢苟同，代词指代语法上应该遵循平行指代的原则。

Teresa has bought a gift for my mom, but she forget brought it today. (it指代Terresa而非my mom，无歧义)

Banana is more delicious than apple, but it costs twice. （it指代Banana而非apple，无歧义）
