可是OG上说C错误的原因是they指代不清，不知道是指代Anasazi还是other clans，难道不是应该一眼就看出来指代的是Anasazi么？我觉得错误的原因在于where而不是they的指代不清呀~

OG上说A中they指代的对象是wasps……我知道they指代不正确，可是怎么会是wasps呢？不是应该是Yellow jackets么？




是哪个知识点我不知道么？每次一看指代就晕乎乎的~~~~

回：如果前面有两个复数名词，用they确实有指代不清的嫌疑，但我就楼主后面这句话回答，即使出现了两个以上复数名字，代词也有就近指代的原则，复数代词优先指代最近的复数名词。语法规则是规则，不能用一眼看出，语法上they应该指代other clans.
我认为C的选项错误在于little adj. n.不如 A的 n. little adj. 清晰，OG上也说less limited water access is awkward；
                     且同一句中同一个代词不能指代不同事物，前面的their指代the Anasazi,后面的they指代other clans

我还以为所有的代词都是优先指代主句主语呢……难道不是这样的？

回：wasps living……这整个短语就是用来解释social wasps,这短语中的they当然指代该短语的中心词wasps，它错在consist这个动作不是wasps发出的，而是society发出的，如果用they就相当于wasps发出，逻辑上不对。

代词是优先指代主语，我觉得可以这样想：语法上它优先指代主语或某一中心语，但逻辑上它是否需要指代某个名词，如果语法上和逻辑上指代不同，那么这个代词的指代就有问题

看前面有个their  中指代的是  the Monument Valley Anasazi's
根据优先指代主句主语原则 完全可以 they指代 the Monument Valley Anasazi
而且这样的话 their和they还对应 呵呵
我认为也可以不从指代下手

og里面说的they 指代不清  我认为可以这么理解
where引导的定语从句  where they had less limited water access 是修饰clans 这里就把clans当成一个place   where这么翻译: 在那里  一般习惯上这里的they都不会是要修饰的词即clans
譬如 I go to some places where they can sing  这里的they 肯定是前文提到的某些人 where从句修饰places
呵呵  个人看法  还是那句话 考试的时候别过多纠结指代 指代的重点是单复数, 依靠指代不清来做题 往往头脑想破了 还做错了

我觉得这里很矛盾：
同一句中同一个代词不能指代不同事物，前面的their指代the Anasazi,后面的they指代other clans
既然一个代词不能指代不同事物，那么这里的they就是指the anasazi啊，就不可能指代别的东西啦。疑惑啊

？？如果代词在同一句中只能指代同一事物，那么C中的THEY不就是指代Anasazi 了吗，那么C的THEY不就不存在指代不清的错误了？
