商学院电脑配置for customized Lenovo T410(only in US?)

马上要去美国读书了，以前用的旧笔记本也不想再带过去了，所以打算在美国买台新的笔记本。相信很多同学也和我一样欣赏Thinkpad这个品牌。这里是我在网上给自己配置Lenovo T410型号的一些配置。欢迎各位拍砖！

CPU:

i5-540M

Based on the reviews on the internet, i7 has only slightly higher performance marks than i5 cores, but generates higher power. So i5 should be chosen for me.

Graphic Card:

Intel integrated card for sure. (much less heat, therefore less fan noise. ps. I don't play games any more)

Windows:

windows 7 64bit professional

Choose 64bit since the processor is 64 bit and the memory is larger than 3.3 GB.
Professional because I need the machine to run XP-based old games...

Memory

2*2GB 1067MHz

4GB is a decent choice considering the machine will serve me for years. And sometimes I do compile programs that requires 1GB RAM to run! 1333MHz is useless, since i5/i7 cores uses only 1067MHz bus speed. I have no plan to upgrade the memory size, so I choose to use two slots.

Hard Disk

320GB 7200rpm

Large size, low price. Since only office work will be performed on the machine, SSD is not necessary at such a high price. But if you want the superb performance, you should go for SSD and forget the price. (I work on SSD development in Samsung..) Hard disk is now the performance bottleneck for PC, so 7200rpm for sure.

Battery

6-cell

6cell battery provides 5.5 hours, which works for me. In fact, my last Samsung notebook can only last 90 minutes. And even if I know the ideal battery life, I will carry the power cable just in case... For further information, 9-cell battery lasts 8-9 hours.

Bluetooth

No. Never used that.

Wireless adapter:

Intel N 6300

Just in case I get a new router which support much higher wireless connection at 450 mbps than that of 6200 at 300 mbps.

被我看错了，1440 x 900(WXGA+) vs 1280* 800(WXGA)
bluetooth有什么用呢？只能达到0.4MB/s(3mbps)，好像。。。 下载几首歌都要等半天。。

我已经买好了,内存自己加2G上去只要300多,没必要选,一样的三星金条
屏幕我选的1280*800 反正也不是全高清,能放720P就可以了 1400*900 又没啥区别.
其余和楼主的一样,最后价钱 $965
保修我是1年,因为我是1年的course

感觉我的配置更经济些.性能上和 楼主的一模一样.

有的用户说这个机器风扇噪声比较大，所以用独立显卡的话，可能功耗更大，风扇转得更快。。但是如果想玩游戏玩得爽，肯定需要加独显。


但是如果是为了机器速度快，有这个钱的话，不如投资在SSD上面，效果更加明显。
