1） ONLY的位置的变化可能会改变句子的意思，所以我一般慎重对待A选项中的最高级等词的位置。你可以再琢磨一下C和E在ONLY位置发生变化时的意思的变化。
2）C中的one是多余的，wordy.

如果按照it was多余排除AB，one多余排除CD，则选E

而且从A答案看，直接省略it was也可以得到E

此外published by an American woman比that an American woman published简略，且重点突出

CD中only造成的感觉是修饰published by an American woman，而E中only感觉是修饰the second，对吧？
