为什么B选项：Plural subject inventories does not agree
with the singular verb leads. 我认为主语是Rising inventories，谓语应该单数？请牛人指教~

这道题我也错了。。。我想rising这里是形容词修饰inventories的，而不是动名词短语作主语，因为rise本身是不及物动词，所以没法做动名词短语跟inventories，如果换成及物动词raise的话，就可以把raising inventories作为动名词当主语了。试比较：
1）Rising inventories...lead to... 增加的存货导致。。。。
2）Raising inventories...leads to... 增加存货导致。。。。

我比较不理解的是A选项，unaccompanied correspondingly不是副词修饰形容词么，语法上没什么错啊。。。不理解为什么awkward了。。。

刚好也在研究这一题..个人理解哈:

1/. rising inventories, rising是adj, 中心词是inventories, 所以主语复, 谓语也要复, 排B, D;
2/. 关于A选项为什麽不对, 个人认为corresponding的应该是rising inventory和increase in sales, 而不该是accompany, 所以corresponding应该修饰increase in sales rather than accompany,..所以A的意思表达不如E来得好.
