据我所知，DBA主要分两种：
一是，Harvard的DBA和PhD没什么区别，都是以研究为主，将来做researcher。
另外还有一种不同的，例如英国Manchester的DBA，它是一种在职学习，The DBA is a logical extension to the MBA programme, with its emphasis on the application of knowledge to research issues. Whereas the results of research for a PhD will have implications for one or more aspects of running a business, the DBA research is intended to apply state of the art knowledge to a specific management issue to directly improve the quality of the decision making.
当然两种都是博士学位。
其实我现在也对DBA非常感兴趣，想将来也读，希望能有志同道合的同学，大家共同分享信息，一起努力。

另外补充一下，美国的DBA一般都有fellowship，哈佛的是$35,400 in 2009-2010，英国曼彻斯特的好像没有。具体可以到学校的官网看看。

HBS的DBA课程，应该是应用为主吧，和PHD应该有很大的区别，在官网的介绍中，是做分类的，本质上二者不是一样的哦···如果是做研究，那吸引力就大大地降低喽····
