those指代earnings，为什么是...more than double those of 而不是 ... more than double those in...

个人认为in of不是关键
由最开始的exceeding，那就直接把ABC排除了

D不可以看成double （those in） the previous quater的省略么？
E用of是不是有点不恰当啊？请教
